॥ १ ॥
Sanskrit
प्रातःकाले महातेजः पद्महस्तं दिवाकरम् ।
सप्ताश्वरथमासीनं सूर्यं वन्दे जगत्प्रभुम् ॥ १ ॥
Telugu Phonetic
ప్రాతఃకాలే మహాతేజః పద్మహస్తం దివాకరమ్ ।
సప్తాశ్వరథమాసీనం సూర్యం వందే జగత్ప్రభుమ్ ॥ ౧ ॥
English Meaning
At dawn, I bow to Surya, the radiant Lord of the universe, who holds a lotus in His hand and rides upon the chariot drawn by seven horses. I worship the glorious Sun who illumines and governs the entire world.
॥ २ ॥
Sanskrit
उदये भास्करायैव प्रणमामि पुनः पुनः ।
जगदुत्पत्तिकर्त्रे च सर्वलोकैकसाक्षिणे ॥ २ ॥
Telugu Phonetic
ఉదయే భాస్కరాయైవ ప్రణమామి పునః పునః ।
జగదుత్పత్తికర్త్రే చ సర్వలోకైకసాక్షిణే ॥ ౨ ॥
English Meaning
At sunrise, I bow again and again to Bhāskara, the radiant Sun. I offer my salutations to Him who is the source of the world's creation and the sole witness of all the worlds.
॥ ३ ॥

मध्याह्ने विष्णुरूपाय तेजोराशिविराजिते ।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय मित्राय च नमो नमः ॥ ३ ॥
Telugu Phonetic
మధ్యాహ్నే విష్ణురూపాయ తేజోరాశివిరాజితే ।
ధర్మసంస్థాపనార్థాయ మిత్రాయ చ నమో నమః ॥ ౩ ॥
English Meaning
At noon, I offer repeated salutations to the Sun, who shines forth as a mass of divine radiance in the form of Vishnu. I bow to Mitra, the benevolent divine presence who sustains righteousness and is associated with the establishment of Dharma.
॥ ४ ॥

अस्तं गच्छते देवाय सन्ध्यारागप्रियाय च ।
संहारशक्तिरूपाय भानवे च नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ ४ ॥
Telugu Phonetic
అస్తం గచ్ఛతే దేవాయ సంధ్యారాగప్రియాయ చ ।
సంహారశక్తిరూపాయ భానవే చ నమోస్తుతే ॥ ౪ ॥
English Meaning
As the divine Sun journeys toward the western horizon, I offer my salutations to Bhānu, who delights in the crimson beauty of twilight and embodies the power of dissolution, bringing the day's manifestation to its close.

अरुणकिरणैः कमलविकासकारकाय ते ।
आरोग्यं देहि मे नित्यं मार्ताण्डाय नमो नमः ॥ ५ ॥
Telugu Phonetic
అరుణకిరణైః కమలవికాసకారకాయ తే ।
ఆరోగ్యం దేహి మే నిత్యం మార్తాండాయ నమో నమః ॥ ౫ ॥
English Meaning
My repeated salutations to Mārtāṇḍa, whose crimson rays cause the lotus to blossom. O Lord, grant me health every day and bless me with well-being and vitality.
॥ ६ ॥

तिमिरान्धकारहन्त्रे ज्ञानदीपप्रदायिने ।
अज्ञानतिमिरं हत्वा विवेकं देहि मे प्रभो ॥ ६ ॥
Telugu Phonetic
తిమిరాంధకారహంత్రే జ్ఞానదీపప్రదాయినే ।
అజ్ఞానతిమిరం హత్వా వివేకం దేహి మే ప్రభో ॥ ౬ ॥
English Meaning
O Lord, destroyer of the darkness of ignorance and bestower of the lamp of knowledge, dispel the darkness of my ignorance and grant me Viveka — the power of discrimination and right understanding.
॥ ७ ॥

अनन्तकोटिब्रह्माण्डनायकाय सुरार्चित ।
प्रत्यक्षदैवतायैव आदित्याय नमो नमः ॥ ७ ॥
Telugu Phonetic
అనంతకోటిబ్రహ్మాండనాయకాయ సురార్చిత ।
ప్రత్యక్షదైవతాయైవ ఆదిత్యాయ నమో నమః ॥ ౭ ॥
English Meaning
Repeated salutations to Āditya, the Lord of countless millions of universes, worshipped by the Devas, and revered as the visible and directly manifest Divine Being before whom the world itself bears witness.
॥ ८ ॥ फलश्रुतिः ॥
Sanskrit
इदं स्तोत्रं पठेन्नित्यं सूर्याभिमुखः शुचिः ।
दीर्घायुः पुत्रपौत्रैश्च तेजस्वी सुखी भवेत् ॥ ८ ॥
Telugu Phonetic
ఇదం స్తోత్రం పఠేన్నిత్యం సూర్యాభిముఖః శుచిః ।
దీర్ఘాయుః పుత్రపౌత్రైశ్చ తేజస్వీ సుఖీ భవేత్ ॥ ౮ ॥
English Meaning
Whoever, being pure in body and mind, recites this hymn daily while facing the Sun, shall be blessed with long life, worthy descendants, radiance, vitality, and happiness.
