॥ मौनम् ॥

 

१. प्रथमश्लोकः — मौनस्य विश्वरूपम्

अद्रिनिश्चलभावेन समुद्रघोषमध्यगम् ।
हरिशयननिःश्वासं मौनं विश्वात्मदर्शनम् ॥ १ ॥

అద్రినిశ్చలభావేన సముద్రఘోషమధ్యగమ్ ।
హరిశయననిఃశ్వాసం మౌనం విశ్వాత్మదర్శనమ్ ॥ ౧ ॥

In the steadfast stillness of the mountains, amidst the roar of the ocean, and in the gentle breath of Hari during His divine repose, Silence reveals the vision of the Universal Self.

२. द्वितीयश्लोकः — किरीटश्लोकः

न मौनं केवलं शब्दं न च शब्दविवर्जितम् ।
अनन्तविश्वयात्रा सा जीवात्मा परात्मना सह ॥ २ ॥

న మౌనం కేవలం శబ్దం న చ శబ్దవివర్జితమ్ ।
అనంతవిశ్వయాత్రా సా జీవాత్మా పరాత్మనా సహ ॥ ౨ ॥

Silence is neither mere sound nor merely the absence of sound.
It is the infinite journey of the individual soul, together with the Supreme Soul, through the vastness of existence.

३. तृतीयश्लोकः — फलश्रुतिः

इति मौनस्य माहात्म्यं यः पठेत् सततं नरः ।
लभते परमां शान्तिं ब्रह्मज्ञानं च शाश्वतम् ॥ ३ ॥

ఇతి మౌనస్య మాహాత్మ్యం యః పఠేత్ సతతం నరః ।
లభతే పరమాం శాంతిం బ్రహ్మజ్ఞానం చ శాశ్వతమ్ ॥ ౩ ॥

Whoever constantly recites and contemplates this greatness of Silence attains supreme peace and eternal knowledge of Brahman.
