Verse 1
Worry slowly wears away a person's life until it becomes like a worn-out garment. Like a wild jujube tree that is difficult to cut down, worry only continues to grow and rarely recedes.
Verse 2
Just as a torn umbrella cannot keep out the rain, so a person consumed by worry can neither experience nor preserve true joy.
Verse 3
If a worry admits no solution, what purpose is served by dwelling upon it? Leave it behind, devote yourself to meaningful action, and live in peace, contentment, and quiet happiness.
