Hare...
Where shall I find You?
How shall I reach You?
Krishna—
my little Heart,
come near... come near.
Brindavana breathes Your name;
the cool breeze bears
the fragrance of Your smile.
A lonely peacock feather,
a wandering wind,
the Yamunā's jingling anklets,
the passing clouds,
the flight of birds—
each beckons,
"He has just passed this way."
Yet silence, smiling,
keeps Your secret,
leaving my heart
to wander still.
I can wait no longer.
Come softly into my fold;
rest gently upon my lap,
like moonlight upon the Yamunā,
like the serene song of Your flute.
For one moment without You
becomes an age beyond counting;
yet a single moment with You
blooms into eternity—
a boundless, tranquil bliss.
