తులనా చైవ తృృష్ణా చ

तुलना चैव तृष्णा च निःश्रेणिपदवत् स्थिते । 

दोषैर्विमुक्ते चेद् द्वेते, प्रगतौ सुखदायके ॥

తులనా చైవ తృృష్ణా చ నిఃశ్రేణిపదవత్ స్థితే । 

దోషైర్విముక్తే చేద్ ద్వేతే, ప్రగతౌ సుఖదాయకే ॥

Both comparison and desire stand like the rungs of a ladder. If these two are freed from flaws and ill intentions, their progression brings true happiness and elevation.
